Top 10 Tuesday

Top 10 Tuesday

Remember that time last week I said on instagram that I posted a Top 10 but I really didn’t post but thought I did?!?! That was literally hours before I was hit with a stomach bug that put me out of commission for 48 hours, I blame that for my mishap.

Anyway, sorry about that one. I will definitely double check this week to make sure it posts before I announce it on Instagram.

That being said…let’s give our brains a little inspiration to get our day started shall we?

Since Target debuted their Lily Pulitzer line, I want to give a nod to Palm Beach. This bungalow is darling. I love the front door, the large windows and that it’s fresh clean look. And, I love the word bungalow, I want to say I live in a bungalow. There’s something charming about that word.

I cannot believe I have never posted this necklace. In a lot of my outfit pic on instagram you will see a certain necklace that I wear on repeat. This Pop Geo Pendant is amazing! It’s makes a great statement and the colors are refreshing and go with so much. I wear it with stripes, solids and prints. In this image it may look like much, but I cannot begin to tell you how many people stop me to ask about it. With Mother’s day coming up, this is a good one!

I have to tell you. I think my next house is going to be more rustic. When I sell my current home, I’m going to sell all the furniture with it and create a cozy more worn in home, does that make sense? I like to change things up a bit. This kitchen makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s so welcoming. I’m sure you remember that feeling of coming home from college for the holidays, ya know what I mean?

The warm humid weather has made its way into Charleston. When that weather comes, I find myself searching for a lot more comfortable clothing. Especially dresses or tunics. This tunic is on sale and I just ordered it. I can see this being on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. It comes in several different prints too if this one doesn’t suit you. I got the white one with the floral.

I don’t even know where to start, what to say, I’m speechless. All I can do is sigh when I look at this BEAUTIFUL home. What I would do to get to spend a day there. The architecture, the open doors, the land it sits on, all stunning!

Ever since I scored my $50 peacock chair, I’ve been obsessed with finding more items similar to redo our front porch. We sit out there a lot because the boys love to ride their bikes in the driveway. So, I want it to be a cozy, relaxing space where I can hang out and watch them. That being said, I’m OBSESSED with this Double hanging rattan chair. I mean I’m stalking it and praying it goes on SUPER sale.

We finally are starting to redo our backyard. Several items were important to me to have back there. An outdoor dining space, a pool (not going to happen) and most importantly grass and I mean lots of it. Our yard has been such a sand pit it’s been horrible and to finally have all of this beautiful sod is amazing. I love walking barefoot back there. What we also did was buy blue stone and layout pavers in two areas. One near the outdoor shower and the other in the space of our future dining space. I wanted the pavers to have grass in between. This look was my inspiration.

I just ordered three of these Reynolds lights for my built-ins. I finally gave in to the price because I searched relentlessly trying to find a cheaper version with no avail. I installed one and it didn’t work because of the way my built ins are layed out. However, I did remove it and install it over the fireplace where I plan to hang art and it looks fabulous. So, two are going back, one is here to stay and I’m back to the drawing board on finding lights.

I LOVE history! When my husband travels I love to get in bed early and watch documentaries. It intrigues me. Maybe that’s one of the many reasons I love Charleston so much is because of all the history. And, this home is one that I read about not too long ago and had to share. This is Henry Fords winter retreat cottage near Savannah Georgia. It was fully restored and is magnificent! You can read the entire story here.

Ok, so not to get totally sidetracked but talking about history and a different time then now. I, thanks again to Lily Pulitzer this week, want to wear a kaftkan or just time warp to when people wore these. I want the hair, the dress, all of it. I just think that was such a fun and fashionable time.

I love your round-up! That tunic is perfect for summer; I love that Palm Beach bungalow; and can’t wait to read the history on Ford’s winter place. Have a great week, Krystine! 🙂

    Hi Krystine,
I enjoyed this post and clicked on all the links to check them out. I am so glad to have found a realtor who talks about the homes you have listed, or those homes you have found interesting. I hope you will check out my blog as well. I am not posting daily, due to the time it requires to draft floorplans but I think you will enjoy it also. Connie Bradshaw
