Creating a smart home, but are you thinking of all the smart options?
Hello friends! As you know, we have recently renovated a 1960’s brick home. It took us 10 months from start to finish. There were many items that we incorporated into our home to make it a smart home with the lighting, thermostats, smart locks, etc. One item that didn’t cross my radar was to incorporate smart blinds. In the design process, having many windows was a must. I did not want a dark home, so floor to ceiling windows were incorporated throughout our home. One thing I did not consider is that with the height of the windows, pulling blinds up
Master bathroom reveal
Creating unique spaces that are actually functional and beautiful can be overwhelming. When we created our master bathroom, the layout was perfect. It wasn't oversized but it also wasn't small. We both had our own vanities and plenty of space to move around. It is truly a perfect space for us. I knew that I wanted navy vanities and marble countertops. What I also knew is that I wanted faucets that were timeless and elegant. I have used Delta faucets in other projects and I knew that they were a great fit for our home
Improving curb appeal is a great investment
I recently read a great article about curb appeal and the value it brings to your home. And, when we were building our home, I knew that our garage door was going to be a main focus of the home. It was important for it to have a great aesthetic so that it complemented our home. I spent hours online searching for a style that I felt was classic and timeless. All of my searches brought me back to Clopay doors. It arrived, was installed, we had it painted it to match the front door and it added so much
Out to eat…Grace & Grit
Several months ago, I noticed a beautiful building being constructed in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. As I drove past it, staring at the beautiful details in the architecture, I noticed the name, Grace and Grit. I was thrilled to discover that Charleston, whom has an amazing culinary scene, was adding a new option for dining out. Walking up to the restaurant, I was drawn to the dark wood, the metal and most importantly the outdoor dining area. The restaurant is fresh, cozy and sophisticated. It was a crowded night, the lights were glowing giving off this great ambience and the weather

Exterior color schemes
Choosing paint colors isn't always easy. It is even harder when you have to choose an exterior paint color. First, it's a huge under taking and second it can be very costly. I've put together color palettes that I like for exterior homes based on homes I've seen around town. I hope you found some inspiration for your homes. Happy painting!

A chic master bedroom
This bedroom is so serene. It's not over thought, it's easy to redo and it has a clean, fresh and a relaxing vibe. I think it's important after a long day to come to a space that makes you feel happy. A place that allows you to decompress and check out. I think this space with it's simplicity does just that. I do like all of the white and how the blanket and the chair add a little texture. The brass hardware adds a little warmth. Re-create this space with these look for less for items.

Brass bar stools
I recently posted a kitchen and one of the main questions was about the bar stools in the photo. So, I thought putting together a quick round up of some of my favorite brass bar stools would make for a good post. Here are some inspiration photos.
