The layered rug

The layered rug

I am normally obsessed with pillows and curtains. But, lately I am on a huge rug kick.

It was sparked with my recent motivation to get our master bedroom completed before the year was done.

We had complications unfortunately that truly caused me to lose my inspiration. Then one day I had enough and decided it was time to get inspired again and start crossing off items on my to do list to get this room done.

If you follow me on instagram you can see that the doors finally came in on the cabinets. I decided on hardware for them, picked out lights for the bathroom and the biggest piece of the puzzle was the barn door which I’m crazy over.

Two last items are a light over the bed and choosing a stone for my fireplace. But, once that’s complete it will be time to decorate and rugs are on my mind right now.

Since our master bedroom is so large, I decided against buying one large rug and instead scattering different size and colored rugs throughout the space.

To begin, I obviously looked everywhere I could for inspiration. These photos below helped me get some ideas.

Once I was inspired I began shopping and now I have a few carts full of rugs from different sources and am going to pull the trigger soon, I hope! Here are a few that are catching my eye right now.

Love all your rug pics! A rug can really tie a room together and several rugs just make it more layered. I hope you show us what you do in your bedroom!xx
