As I’m finishing the rooms in my home- I’m stepping back to take a look at what is actually my “style”. I don’t think I have a particular style but I do feel that I have a different style for each home we renovate.  As I look into my den, I’m lost for words to describe its style…it has some modern to it, some rustic elements, some traditional…Rustic modern is what comes to mind.

My home has worm wood trim that we painted white, a brick fireplace that we painted a color called modern gray by Sherwin Williams, beams on the ceiling and the furniture has a little bit more of a modern look, but there are some traditional pieces as well.  There are white club chairs, a large natural linen sofa and taupe on the walls.  I still am working on some final details such as my side tables, looking for a floor lamp and then of course accessories.

This is just a sneak peek- I hate to show incompleted projects and this one is incomplete.  But I love sitting my kitchen and looking at the mirror and the chairs it just draws me into the room.

So, as I’m on this mission of completion, I started searching for inspiration for this room. I came across these images and felt really inspired and just fell in love with their details.
