Do you remember these tables?  Like I mentioned before, my father in law came in town and I let him work on these to see if this would be something he would enjoy.  He had a good time and I just learned he is working on another piece- so much fun! The picture of the final results are below.
There are so many way to redo furniture but in order to create the look on the side tables the first and most important step was to sand of the previous lacquer. Then he used Milk Paint that I found downtown Charleston at the Artist and Craftman Supply store. After that dried a second coat of paint was added and rubbed down with a wool cloth. When it was all dried he topped it off with wax.
Introducing, which took 3 months after starting my little furniture business, I finally put together a name and a logo- it is called Lemongrass. Take a peek of some of the items I have for sale at Chic Antique in Mt. Pleasant. I’m secretly hoping my headboard does not sell because I’m in love with it and would love to see it in my guest bedroom, but if it does I can create another one! Check out the little side tables and how they turned out- they’re darling!
It is so much fun to re-create this furniture, but it is time consuming! So I hope I have a little time starting soon to find some treasures during the holiday break!

I love helping people successfully find and perfect their dream homes in Charleston. This is why I'm dedicated to home selling, buying, decorating, designing and remodeling.
