Boys Bedroom- ORC Week 4

Boys Bedroom- ORC Week 4

Slow progress here in week number 4 of my One Room Challenge, but here are a couple of things that I saw, did, thought about buying and may buy soon… I mean I only have TWO weeks remaining!!

I got these letters from a local shop here in Mount Pleasant. They are easy to make, but I’m short on time, so I’m glad I found them.

Here’s the bed in my son’s room unpainted. (Need to get that done, too!)

You might recall I got the dresser and this fabulous lamp to go with it. I’m so happy with both of them. (Ignore the messy room.)

And, oh this night stand… I almost did a cartwheel when I saw it. Then I flipped the price tag over… $499. OUCH! Love my 2-year-old, but I need to be realistic. (sigh)

Curtains need to be made STAT! And, just to prove how crazy this challenge has been, I thought I would share that I brought home a fabulous fabric swatch and cannot find it anywhere. I’m officially losing it! I’ve flipped the house upside down looking for it.

In case it doesn’t work, here are some back-up options.

I dig this for some reason but need it in yellow.

Still on my list:
1. New headboard
2. Lighting
3. A desk
4. Curtains
5. A bench
6. Bedding
7. Accessories
8. Nightstands
9. Dresser
10. Art

Keep up with my chaos on Instagram! I hope to get my rear in gear and wow you in the end!

Wow, where do you find the time? Love the letters! I’m feeling motivated after seeing your progress. I’m in similar boat with my daughter big girl room makeover. At least you already have the bed, that expense might not happen on my end. You got this! Can’t wait to see it pulled together!

That bed kills me every time. Love the spindles. Dresser is a fav too!. Bummer about the spendy nightstand. It is fabulous but you can find something equally fab for less than $500 bones. Sheesh. Feel you about losing fabric swatches – I have lost my mind 3 times and can’t remember where I left it. Probably in an antique mall somewhere.

I am so in love with spindle beds! So funny that your son has the same name as Cameron’s husband! Can’t wait to see what you pick for fabric!

Your son may not “need” the dresser but it is awesome! I love the scrabble letters! Awesome focal piece.
