Creating Two Bathrooms from One: Before & After of First Bathroom
As most of you know, we do a lot of renovating. We are in the process of finishing the entire house… finally! We have been working on this home for three years now, and that’s long for us! However, I’m glad we took our time, and I was able to find what I wanted at “close to” prices that I wanted to pay.
One project was our master bathroom/hall bathroom combo. Sounds awful, but, yes, we do share our master bathroom with the hall and company. We live in a 1950’s ranch, and for the most part the home is amazing. However, this one room was not so much.
So, we reconfigured, redesigned, gutted and re-created the space so we could have two bathrooms. I’m so happy how it turned out!
And here is the after:
We built a wall to create a small powder room. (Hardest room I’ve ever attempted to photograph)
We purchased this swing arm sconce that I’ve been lusting after from Circa Lighting here in Charleston.
We purchased our Ronald Redding Wallpaper from Eades Wallpaper – they were the most competitively priced!
I feel super spoiled because my amazing and talented friend Julianne of Taylor Burke Homes gifted this art to me from her amazing travels! (Read her story here on my Guess Who’s dropping in for Coffee series)
I love the wood and details of this mirror. I wish the photo would do it justice. It has that little bit of glam but the wood tones it down.
One last view of the bathroom. I’m so happy our guests don’t have to share this beauty with us. I’m sure they are as well!
Thanks y’all for stopping in to see the bathroom. Come back to see part 2 soon!
Happy Wednesday friends!
Looks great! Love all of the texture with the tile and wallpaper….the wood mirror warms it up!

Krystine, what a fabulous idea! You packed this little space full of things to love!! I’m dying over that swing arm lamp, the fixtures and your floor! Such a fabulous job, and I cannot wait for Part 2! Thanks so much for sharing at Best of the Nest!
Which faucet is this? I need to replace an antique brass one in powder room but cannot find one to compare! This looks perfect.
Who makes the swing arm sconce?
