Before and After Den – The Clearview Project
I’m taking you back in time some. So, this was my second formal project. You know… the kind where you create a mood board, get paid and totally freak out. This client wanted coastal & Pottery Barn style – easy enough. Kinda!
Here’s the original home and it’s beautiful hardwood floors:
And, here’s the minimal amount of furniture they moved in to start things off:
My client wanted coastal, light, white, blues and whatever else I could come up with. She wanted calm and fresh.
I wanted a sectional for the space to allow for more cozy and intimate seating. The art I felt needed to be serene, the lighting soft, the tables a little more rough and the rest just pretty. Here’s the after.
The art was a great find at Tuesday Morning.
This side table was love at first sight at a local store here called GDC Home Interiors. I love the wood, the unique top and the extra shelf at the bottom. The lamp and accessories were all Homegoods finds.
The coffee table was also found at GDC Home Interiors. I love the combination of wood and metal and the fact the metal is aqua. The rug is a sisal rug from Pottery Barn, again giving a little texture to the room.
Finally, I needed a sofa table and lamps for the back of the sofa. This was important because it is what you see when walking into the home. I did not want her company to stare at the back of the sofa, so I needed another element. The lights were a great find at Southern Accents in Mount Pleasant.
I have a very happy client, who has a den that suits her style and her needs!
Hope you enjoyed!
