Style It Challenge Reveal for Taylor Burke Home, One Kings Lane and Cotton and Quill

I’m so excited for this reveal! I had an AMAZING opportunity to partner with Taylor Burke Home, One Kings Lane and Cotton and Quill for the “Style It Challenge” using the Taylor Burke Home X-bench. The timing was perfect; we just finished our master bedroom addition. Well, almost finished. The bathroom and the bedroom still have a long punch list, and my master closet was missing some fabulousness.

My head started spinning. I saw brass, black walls, shelves, more brass and I needed a pop of color. I began browsing through fabric selections that were offered for my X-bench. It was so fun to be able to customize my bench with fabric and finishes. I had so many choices but in the end, I decided that I needed a pink velvet bench.

Instead of using a standard closet system, we bought plumbing pipes, spray painted them gold and installed them. I love this industrial look with a bit of gold glam. Next, we bought a glass-shelving unit. We painted the single shelves gold, but felt we needed to break-up all the gold by painting the double glass shelves white.

Brass Rods

I really wanted to create a very glamorous, almost high-end dressing room feel so lighting was VERY important. Once I laid eyes on this GORGEOUS “Don’t Fret” pendant from Taylor Burke Home I knew I had to have it! I love the shadows it casts, the laser cut in the metal and the gold studs. It makes my heart skip a beat!

Finally, I needed those black walls, but I didn’t think painting the closet black was going to do this space justice. I searched and searched and finally settled on this wallpaper by Hygge & West. It was just right for this space!

Daydream Wallpaper

I had fun creating this DIY pegboard to display my clothes. I love to have my clothes pre-planned, and it’s so nice to have a space to see my outfits laid out.
