The Charleston Single

When I think of Charleston homes, the first type of home that pops into my mind is a Charleston single. I remember coming to Charleston when I was younger and walking the streets, doing historical tours and just being amazed by all the beautiful homes. These days it's fun to test born and bred Charleston friends about their knowledge of the history of their city. I wanted to share a little about the Charleston single because that was the first ...

Friday Favorites: Furbish Studio Pop-Up Shop

Charleston has arrived! Well, I think it already has a bright star on the map, but the Furbish Studio pop-up shop only added to its glamour. I.am.in.love!!!!!! Y'all, I wanted to buy everything in this store. I'm attending The Southern C Summit (which is phenomenal, BTW), and I ran into this shop... where I also spotted my uber talented friend and photographer, Gray Benko, working her magic. Doesn't she look so pretty, too? If you didn't make it by, you seriously missed ...

“Color Pop” Designer Showcase

Last weekend I was honored to participate in the Daniel Island Life Designer Showcase Challenge at Lyndon Leigh. It was a true blast! I'm not usually tasked with decorating an entire space with an unlimited budget, and, boy was it so much fun!! Their store is stocked with some gorgeous keepsakes and wonderful trendy pops of flair. Perhaps that is what inspired me to focus on a black/white theme with "Color Pops". I loved running into some of my favorite ...

My Designer Showcase at Lyndon Leigh This Saturday!

I was so honored when Lyndon Leigh asked me to participate in Daniel Island Life's Designer's Challenge. Lyndon Leigh - which just happens to be one of my favorite home stores - will be hosting the event tomorrow night, March 29. Five interior designers were asked to create an interesting space using furniture and accents from the store. I chose to go with a "Color Pop" theme as it really represents my clean and simple style. I started with many ...

Local Artist Spotlight: Peyton Avrett

Just recently I ran across some work by a talented local artist and craftsman - Peyton Avrett. I was completely blown away by this custom chandelier in Aged Silver Leaf: This custom Sawyer Chandelier stands 5' tall. But, this image just sparked my investigation. I had to find out more about the people who made such a unique light fixture. And, sure enough, they were from Charleston! Peyton works with Avrett, who makes handcrafted furniture, lighting and accessories, and ...

Domain Interiors & Design Rocked Their Opening

First of all, I was really pumped about this store coming to Mount Pleasant. I met the owner, Bobbi, almost two years ago when I was pregnant with my second son. She worked at another local store, and we really hit it off. So, we always kept in touch and I felt privileged to know that a store opening was in the works. When the invite to the Domain Interiors & Design exclusive party arrived, I was more than stoked ...

C Wonder Debuts in Charleston

I was super excited when I took a spontaneous trip downtown and surprisingly saw a C Wonder store in the process of opening. I've followed them on Instagram for a while and love so much of their clothing, but more importantly, the housewares! I, unfortunately, missed the opening party, but I made it this time to Look Linger Love's party.I knew the first item I was going to purchase was this lacquer box with the E monogram. The PERFECT lacquer box ...
