Autumn Blog Hop – My Fall Home!

Autumn Blog Hop – My Fall Home!

I’m excited to be a part of this series with my amazing friends!

So, to start off, let me be honest. Decorating for fall is a little hard for me because Charleston doesn’t exactly see a fall. It stays in the high 70’s – 80’s here until mid October sometimes November.

But, I’m really ready for cooler weather and lately we have actually had it, which was a nice break from the heat. So, I jumped on the bandwagon and pumped myself up for fall.

First, I decorated my porch because I love sitting out there and watching the boys ride their bikes in the driveway.

I had to use faux pumpkins because they always rot. So, I bought this white pumpkin, carved it and filled with plants.

Inside my home I like it simple with lots of gold and warmer colors. This vase was a DIY, you can see it here. I love these peacock feathers and the gold accessory.

I love bringing in greenery around this time instead of bright flowers to my coffee table.

I couldn’t help but to bring in more feathers with these feather balls from Michael’s.

Then, of course, my dining room table got some love. I used a large wreath as my center piece. Next, I added my glitter/sequin pumpkins to my candle stick holders.

Along with decor, I definitely stock up on candles from Yankee Candle Co; we have a store close by. And, one major fall food for us is chili… I LOVE chili!

Here’s an easy crock pot recipe that I always use. (Warning: it’s VERY spicy.) That’s how I like mine!

KE – Everything is FABULOUS. I seriously cannot wait for the day when I get to sit on that porch in real life. It will come! Your fall decor is very true to your style, which I love. And I’m totally with you on finding it hard to get on the fall decor bandwagon in the South! xoxoxoxo

I LOVE what you did to your home! It’s so warm and inviting (would never guess that it’s still 80 degrees outside…btw, I’m in CT and it’s already 50’s so I’m super jealous). I love the carved faux pumpkin with plants in it! I use faux pumpkins in some of my home areas, too…squirrels tear the real ones apart! Love the accents you added inside your home, too! Great job, girl!

Lovely fall home, Krystine! I just love your cozy porch. I’ve been loving Honey We’re Healthy’s chili, but we adjust the spices just a little for our taste. It’s yummy!
